Lili M., Candice's Granddaughter - Age 7
Cornelia the Ant by Candice P. Rosen is a heartwarming children’s tale about being different and discovering that what makes you unique can also be your greatest strength. Cornelia isn’t like the other ants — she enjoys unusual foods, loves bright colors, and has her own bold sense of fashion. Because she doesn’t fit the mold, her friends don’t always understand her and sometimes tease her for being so different.
Everything changes when a tea party goes awry, and Cornelia’s individuality helps save the day. At that moment, her friends begin to see her in a new light — with respect, gratitude, and appreciation for who she truly is.
Filled with charming illustrations by Naira T. Tangamyan and a gentle message about self-acceptance and respect, Cornelia the Ant encourages young readers to celebrate what makes them special and demonstrates that understanding and kindness can transform friendships.
